The Montello Middle School VOYCES youth group did a FACT (Fighting Against Corporate Tobacco) activity on Halloween during their lunch. The youth handed out bright colored candy with labels on them that said, "Candy Flavored Tobacco is not Delicious, It's Manipulicious!" As they passed the candy out they used the tag line, "It's not a treat, it's a trick." This was to bring awareness to their peers about tobacco companies trying to appeal to youth by adding yummy flavors such as grape, apple, cherry and candy flavors to their products and making their packaging look like candy by using bright colors. Youth that are in FACT want to expose these lies and help their peers understand what Big Tobacco Companies are doing.
