Marquette County Healthy Communities Healthy Youth Coalition (HCHY) is a group dedicated to making Marquette County a healthy and safe place for all ages. It is affiliated with the Marquette County Networking Group. HCHY members are professionals, community members and youth.
"We have a vision that Marquette County is a place where substance abuse is diminishing and youth are increasingly involved, healthy and successful."
HCHY members work to build healthy, positive relationships between youth and adults and to provide healthy activities for community members. HCHY is a grant funded initiative that has been working in Marquette County since 2003. HCHY is active throughout the county. In addition to coalition members, HCHY has a Grant Coordinator, Youth Mobilizer for Montello and Westfield School Districts, an Ameri-corps member and Neighborhood Liaison staff in Neshkoro, Montello and Westfield.
Crucial to our mission of promoting positive cultural change is the involvement of people who are invested in each and every part of our community. To that end, our coalition involves representatives from 12 community sectors, including:
